Living a non toxic lifestyle can be overwhelming to think about.

Our biggest tip is start with one product that you'd like to switch at a time.

This is how I got started years ago. I would focus on one item, such as dishwashing liquid (because baby bottles), laundry detergent (because she didn’t want the overwhelming smells), and I’d find a brand that I liked based upon ingredients and price.

I didn’t want to have to spend a tremendous amount more to know that I was bringing in good products into my home for my very young family.

Eventually that lead to learning more about other items such as mattresses, pillows, pots & pans, baking sheets, towels, bed sheets, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath, makeup and more. Each year, over say the last 6 years I’ve changed one or two items within my home to make it more non-toxic. This way, I don’t go down too many rabbit holes at once and become overwhelmed. Once I find a brand, I tend to stick to it.

A big tip is to find items during holiday sales. For example, I buy a years worth of laundry detergent on Black Friday every year. This way I not only don’t have to think about buying the product throughout the year, but I also save money with the holiday savings. I recognize this may not be realistic for everyone too, but it’s an idea I want to throw your way.

I use the @environmentalworkinggroup app in order to research the products that we are thinking of switching. It makes it much easier!

I also follow many amazing mom’s and women on social media that have slowly transferred to a non-toxic lifestyle. Some are further along than others. I still research the brands they talk about, to ensure that they work for my family, but it also helps to narrow down the product lines to make it less overwhelming to research companies I may have never heard of before.

If you ever have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Selling houses is a passion of mind, but non-toxic healthy living is another passion dear to my heart!

I look forward to connecting with you soon!
