Living Local on Mother’s Day in NWI 2023 with the Hunt & Gather Market

The spring finally decided to make it’s way to NW Indiana this past week. We see it outside. The people taking walks, the kids playing outside and the birds chirping and passing by. All those April showers did bring in the May flowers this year. But that means we are already at Mother’s Day and almost 1/2 way through 2023. (Sounds crazy, right?)

As a mama myself, my husband recently asked me what I wanted to do for Mother’s Day. Now, if ya’ll know me, you know that my answer of staining the deck probably wasn’t too far off base, but I was told that I couldn’t do that… so instead we are creating some new and fun traditions. Brunch on Sunday, hanging out with family (pending everyone is healthy in my house) and some good old fashioned relaxing. Maybe a s’more or two on Saturday night to make it fun too.

There’s one awesome event that we wanted to let you know about… one that started 10 years ago this year and it has continued in success and growth since day 1.

Hunt and Gather May 2023 Event.

If you haven’t been to Hunt & Gather at the Lake County Fairgrounds before, you are missing out. The vendors are amazing with over 150 artisans attending. The uniqueness of the artisans and the offerings makes it so special. They also offer a full bar, live music and gourmet food. It’s a place to go to spend taking your time walking around. Seeing the beautiful creations and taking a few things home while supporting local.

The event is Friday May 12th from 5-10PM and Saturday, May 13th from 10AM - 5PM.
