Lemon Lake Park

If you haven’t checked out Lemon Lake, you’re missing out. This beautiful park is located between Cedar Lake and Crown Point. They have everything from pavillions for parties to a disc golf course to walking paths and a park. The park is a quick walk around that is easy even for the littles. We used to bring our kiddos balance bikes there and would let them ride the lake. It was a fun and easy way to get energy out. The walk around the lake is paved, but you can take detours through the disc golf paths to add in a little adventure into your day (as long as there isn’t a tournament going on).

There is open space with soccer fields and places to let kids just run. You can hike into the forest to also go exploring, which is also really fun! My kids love finding hiking sticks and rocks and they try to take them home with us each time!

The newest addition to Lemon Lake may make this park one of my favorites in the area. The park is redone with so many different areas to explore. The slides are great and fun and fast! The obstacles are perfect to help littles with coordination too. The best part though is this “rolleroaster” swing type contraption. You push the swing up a ramp (thats a little hard to get up while pulling the swing), then you sit down on the swing and someone pushes you down. You then fly around this big circle to theo ther side and another ramp. My daughter and I hung out there and she went on this maybe 50+ times in a row, she was having so much fun. She has asked to go back to this park every day since and to take her brothers there.

If you are looking for a quick and fun adventure, whether with kids or without, I highly suggest checking out Lemon Lake.
